Time for a family getaway near nature? This beautiful family home is the perfect base for your trip to Sesimbra. Casa Branca has been completely renovated this spring while retaining the characteristic Portuguese elements creating a spacious, bright house with sunny balconies and a large garden. Only 6min by car to the town of Sesimbra with its beautiful beaches but even closer you can find beaches like Praia do Meco (5km). Our house has views over our private valley of 6000m² and gives you an excellent opportunity to enjoy great walks on private ground with numerous fruit trees. We host a lot of privacy in this area as we are at the end of the road, so there is no traffic.
The main entrance of the home is on the first floor, which you can reach by using the stairs. On this level, you can find our living room which opens to the balcony. But also our kitchen indoors and even a bigger one outdoors. The master bedroom with a private balcony and ensuite bathroom is a great place to unwind.
On the floor below we have two extra bedrooms. This level has its entrance, so great if you want to leave or arrive and not wake the whole family.
This accommodation offers AC for your comfort. The ground floor features two air conditioning units, while both the living room and bedroom on the first floor are also equipped with air conditioning.

## Neighborhood
Sesimbra is home to a Moorish castle. Sesimbra Castle's position was crucial for the defence of Portugal, and the castle was one of the first victories for the Christian
conquest of Portugal over the Moors in 1165. The castle received repairs in the 1930s. The castle stands 230 metres (755 feet) above the fishing village and has fantastic views. Inside the castle, there are battlements and a church. It's one of the most visited monuments in the area and well worth it.
Sesimbra has a huge fishing heritage, and it has a bustling fishing harbour. Sesimbra is mainly a fishing town, so the fish in the seafood restaurants is always fresh. The marina is also a trendy place to relax.
A short drive to the western point, Cabo Espichel, which has impressive cliffs, is home to a pilgrimage church, a lighthouse and wait for it… dinosaur footprints and tracks! t is a place to visit while you are in Sesimbra.
To the east of Sesimbra town in Serra da Arrábida, where you can find beautiful beaches hidden by lavish hills. It's a great place for hikers and cyclists. For those looking for some adrenaline, you can go kayaking along the coastline of cliffs, caves and beaches.
The Fortress of Santiago has coexisted alongside the community of Sesimbra for 365 years. It was built when danger came from the sea, and maritime borders had to be defended. However, the course of history has gradually made it lose its defensive importance.
