19th Century House on Street Car Line near Tulane University | House in New Orleans

My house is on the street car line (oldest continuously operated streetcar line in the country) - if you sit on my front porch while the street car passes you will feel as if you were living in the 19th century. When you enter the apartment that feeling will continue as the living room has antique furniture. Floor plan is a shotgun in true New Orleans style were you walk through all rooms. Kitchen and bathroom are in the back of the apartment. Bathroom has an antique clawfoot tub. The pictures start from the outside and take you through the apartment to the back. The front porch is a perfect place to sit and watch New Orleans pass by in front of you. Many locals will walk by you so please participate in our culture and acknowledge them as they walk by with a simple "how you doing" or "hello." It's a southern thing - try it, you might like it.
You can jump on the street car (at the corner) and site see all the way to downtown (takes 45 minutes). Or, you can jump on the Poydras bus (4 blocks away) and be downtown in 15 minutes. If you drive you're less than 10 minutes from the quarter.
My neighborhood is all walkable. I have a grocery store 4 blocks away; walgreens next door to grocery; Panola St Cafe is a great breakfast spot for locals and is 4 blocks away; there are 4 restaurants only 4 blocks away with many more 6 to 8 blocks away; there is a park 3 blocks away; you will walk under a canopy of oak trees as you walk to all of these places in my neighborhood.
I live on the other side (right hand side of the house). Our bedrooms are in the back. You do not have to worry about bothering us while we are asleep as we do not hear the guests usually. The adjacent property is a real estate business that is empty during the evening as well.
