Positive: This is a small village near Laurinha. There’s a shop with excellent pastries right across the house. You can park your car nearby. There's also a spot in a closed courtyard where you can store your bike and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or sunbathe during the day. The House: It’s fully equipped — the host has thought of everything, from a smoothie blender to a disposable razor. A big plus: the windows close completely, which gave me an extra sense of safety. There are also two skylights that bring in lots of natural light. There were two adults and two teenagers in our group — and while the apartment isn’t large, it’s very compact and comfortable enough for everyone. The Host: This was the best experience I’ve ever had with a property owner. She made sure check-in and check-out were smooth, and she also recommended local hidden gems and spots to make our stay even more enjoyable. And a huge thank you for allowing us to stay with our beloved pet — we had our toy terrier with us!

Negative: In the morning, it can get a bit noisy if the windows are open, as locals come for their morning coffee at the café across the street — but you can always be one of them :) The shower is a bit small — that's my husband's comment. For me (I'm 164 cm tall), it was perfectly fine :)
