The character of the building marks a time and a village, through its imposing architectural features, defined by the use of materials characteristic of this region. We decided to transform this building into a rural tourism facility, focusing on a harmonious framing within the existing urban fabric of the village, respecting the original features of the property.
Alcaide is one of the oldest, prettiest and most vibrant villages of Serra da Gardunha and of the municipality of Fundão - a mountain village located on a buttress on the northern slope of this mountain and about 6 kms from the city of Fundão. Considered a typical Beirã village, here you can enjoy the nature that surrounds the village, the traditional festivals, the gastronomy and the strong history.
We offer a range of comfortable double rooms as well as a suite, which includes kitchenette, lounge area and sofa bed in addition to the main double bed. The price includes a good breakfast and depends on the season and the number of nights.
