Tranquility, careful decoration and magnificent scenery, this is our home on the doorstep of the beautiful and historic city of Amarante.
We would like it to be an excellent starting point to discover our beautiful region. Here we leave you some suggestions for planning your trip.
We are located 5 minutes from the main national motorway junction which can take you to Porto, Guimarães, Braga, Vila Real, Bragança, Chaves and many other cities of great historical and tourist interest. You can use direct public transport for some of them.
Amarante is our city. Small, with a very rich historical center, crossed by the Tâmega River, cradle of conventual sweets and the center of a unique wine region, the Vinho Verde region.
And because we talk about wine, of course you cannot miss the Douro Valley region, a scenic treasure that is the origin of Port Wine.
If you are a nature lover, I have two suggestions for national parks: Gerês and Alvão. And, of course, the mountainous complex that will be here in front, in the landscape of the terrace: the Marão.
