QUINTA DA MURTEIRA is a countryside retreat in a quiet natural reserve. The land is filled with native vegetations, and many small animals are dwelling.

Enjoy lounging by the swimming pool, or hiking and birdwatching in the surrounding environment. Starwatching is also one of the delights.

The cottage building is divided in two rooms, both with individual entrances (and locks). One of the rooms “Lavender Studio” has a kitchen, a double bed, and a bathroom. The other room "Mimosa Room” has two single beds and a bathroom.

In front of the entrance is the main terrace and a swimming pool. There is another terrace attached on the west side of the cottage, ideal to have a cup of tea over the sunset.
Quinta da Murteira is located in the area called Barrocal, a hilly region between the coast and mountains in central Algarve. In Barrocal are many cultivated lands, or filled with wild flowers (mostly in spring) and typical vegetation, such as carob, cork, rosemary, lavender, and myrtle (murteira). Small wildlives are dwelling in this particular nature.
Guests can enjoy walking in our land and the surrounding hills, or have a short drive to go to one of the well-organized walking trails to indulge a day.
In addition, our hillside is blessed with the minimal light pollution, allowing a generous view of the starry night sky.
