Summary: I truly believe our experience would’ve been better if the property manager was more hospitable. For example, the electricity went out in the house while we were out at night. We got home at 2 am in the morning and was locked out of the unit (the gate was locked as well). We called the property manager, Fabio, and he wouldn’t answer the phone. Instead, he texted us and refused to speak over the phone to help solve the issue. A friend of mine had to hop the fence and get into the house and find a fuse box that was difficult to understand via text. It was very confusing and should’ve been handled by the property manager but instead he told us he was tired. He didn’t even check in on us the next day after being locked out of the house for about 30-45 minutes in the middle of the night! Other issues: The house needed a little more love (garden was dry and overgrown in some areas, paint chipping), we did not have much food in the house and ants were everywhere, and the drainage was poor. When you took showers, you were standing in a puddle. Fabio also didn’t want to provide extra toilet tissue or adaptors for the home. With the help of the taxi driver we were able to secure extra adaptors. We also told him the pool lights didn’t come on at night and he didn’t come to look at it. He just said it should come on but no follow up. We really loved our cab driver he gave us when we first got to the area. He was way more helpful and accommodating than our actual host. With a new property manager and some small fixes to the home, this property would be perfect for a small group.
