## Neighborhood
Luz de Tavira is a suburb of Tavira and is around 5 km from the centre of Tavira City. There is a good train and bus link, and it is straightforward to use taxis to get into and out of Tavira. There is also the cycle path that runs along to coastline. The nearest beaches are at Santa Luzia. Situated towards the coast and less than 3 km from Luz de Tavira, Santa Luzia is a small fishing village that makes for an enjoyable, relaxed holiday destination or exciting day trip from Tavira. Santa Luzia is famed for its octopus, caught using traditional methods by the fishing fleet and served in the family-run restaurants that line the harbour front.
## Transit
If you want to explore the area, a car is recommended. Both the bus and train stations are nearby. It is also easy to call a taxi, and Uber is now quite popular in Olhão.
