Adaúfe is a small village but has all the necessary amenities (pharmacy, health center, analyst (blood, urine, etc.), ATM, gas station, hairdresser, supermarket, cafes, bakery, butcher, etc.). Casa do Alto is an old renovated stone country house, on a farm, which is nestled in the hillside of the Cavado River Valley. This is not far from the campus of the University of Minho. It has exquisite views from all sides and part of the ancient Roman road to Braga is right at the back gate. The "eira" in stone (or patio where cereals dried) is one of the largest in the Minho region (484 m2) and many memorable events have taken place there.
