Positive: “Casa no castainhero” is a modular house made with wood and cork that overlook a beautiful and isolated valley. Here you can feel totally submerged in the nature with a bit of stylish in a very super functional house. It takes 30 min from the Douro Valley, which can be a very good reason to reach the area but the despite the position (that might be considered kind of isolated) it totally worth the trip. Miguel is such a very gentle and good host, who let us feel at home (even tho for a short period of time) and made us the best homemade breakfast we had during our 3 weeks stay in Portugal. Recommended to everyone who loves art, nature, design but also who’s looking for a different experience from a”normal hotel”!
