In the heart of 'real Portugal', the house is the manor house in the centre of a rural village.
The village makes award-winning wines, and award-winning bread, and is the closest village to the famous vineyard Baccalhoa with its own sculpture park.
Famous and International artists' work can be admired, with beautiful walks through lakes and wooded pathways. Stand by a sleeping buddha whose foot is twice your height or stand in front of a 'parade of elephants' life-size and realistic in beautiful tin.
At the village co-operative and at severallocal quintas in the areayou can have wine tours, and wine tasting sessions.
The convenience of the house itself (2 mins walk to the bread shop and cafe, which also has a lunchtime restaurant) means the villa really is a destination in itself.
No need to leave with its own library with books and games, Playstation, table football, pool, Sonos speakers and Netflix. If you do there are lots of great things to see and do in the area. Long quiet walks through the vineyards and orchards are a great way to start each day.
This house has been set up by us as hosts that have villa holiday-ed with our families and know exactly what big groups need. We aim to provide all of this, and more, from the welcome pack, to the beautiful wine glasses (with wine fridge!), entertainment, music, so your stay in sociable and fun.

Lisbon city centre is under 1 hr drive so very easy day trip by car or a short drive to a coach making it a day out without driving into the city.
