Originally it was the "Casa do Forno" because it was located next to the wood oven where bread was baked and meals for the family were prepared. In the fireplace inside, on the floor fire, beans and soup boiled in iron pots. The smell of smoke mixed with the unmistakable smells of food fill the imaginary of the Quinta. During the remodeling process the original fireplace was kept as a way to keep the memory of those times alive.
