Positive: As soon as we got there we were greeted with warmth. We arrived very early. But it wasn't a problem. We were given the key to the gate so we could park our car right next to our apartment. Was also given an upgrade and a much bigger apartment. As I think we were the only ones there for the whole week. My children are 8 and 18. Both liked the space and the pool and how quiet it was. It was a very peaceful place. We have never visited Tocha. It's a beautiful town with so much to offer. Sunday market wow everything you could need and more just by the shop. The beach is only a 15 minute drive away. Shops 4 min walk, river beach 8 minutes drive away. Coimbra is only a 50 minute drive away. The beach is beautiful golden sand with easy parking. It was a little windy and great for wind sports. The waves are big. So be careful. The apartment had everything we needed as we were self catering. The kitchen was amazing. If we didn't have what we needed in the apartment, ie pots, pans or plate, the outdoor kitchen did and we could help ourselves. We didn't need to. The mattress on the beds are very comfortable and the blackout blinds are amazing for a good night sleep. The pool area was clean and tidy and the garden was beautiful. I love gardening and enjoy all the plants and how it was landscaped. My children both loved the pool. My son the most. We were invited to the end of the harvest party as Carlos was the host. Lots of wine, Portuguese soup, an amazing BBQ and wine stomping. We felt very welcome. We don't speak Portuguese,though we are learning. We used Google translate to show how grateful we were. We talked to lots of people and even met some people who lived not far from where we live in London. Small world 🥰 Carlos, is such a kind and beautiful person. We talked through Google translate. I promise by next year I will be speaking Portuguese.🤗 He had a friend come talk in English as he wanted to make sure we had everything we needed.

Negative: Nothing really. Just little things. Beds are creaky every time you get up to go to the toilet it was very noisy 😂 not a deal breaker and we got used to it. The flies are another level. 😂 I always carry citronella oil. When on holiday. I put it on bits of tissue which helped a lot. When you are sitting outside. By the evening the flies go. 🤷🏾‍♀️ We didn't have many in the house and our door was open all day. Really it's a perfect little place with a great location.

Summary: We don't want to leave.
