Quinta do Eco nestles in its own valley in the centre of Portugal.
We are a small boutique guesthouse with two large en-suite letting rooms, with a maximum of 4 guests per room - 2 adults and 2 children. We have a large (18m) salt water pool for relaxing in during the heat of the day , and offer a number of food options at the Quinta, including an outdoor kitchen facility and private terrace for relaxing on.
We also have a dining room on site where we offer our buffet breakfast at an extra cost per person. There is private parking on site.
With no near neighbours it feels like living in a private Nature Reserve, falling asleep and waking up to the singing of the frogs and the chorus of the birds. With minimal light pollution the sky at night is a canopy of brilliant bright lights.
However we are only a 3 min drive from the hamlet of São João do Peso with its two traditional Portuguese cafes and large beautiful church, a 6 min drive from the village of Cardigos with its 2 Portuguese supermarkets and a number of restaurants, cafes and bars as well as its famous river beach and equidistant from the towns of Sertá and Vila de Rei. This is a water-rich area with many spectacular waterfalls to discover, nature walks and river beaches, not forgetting the water sports and swimming at the river Zezere- a 20 min drive away. We are 35 minutes away from the Templar city of Tomar, an hour from the beautiful University city of Coimbra and an hour and a half from Lisbon and Porto.
